Power 5’s Elite QB training is geared toward the varsity high school quarterback (or potential varsity HS QB) with aspirations of playing at the next level. The program includes a much more holistic approach to the position with the usual focus on throwing mechanics, footwork, taken to a different level. Elite QB Training includes mental training, leadership development, eye training, a full course on defense, combine skills training, and more. There is not another quarterback training program around that is more complete than ours.
An intro level program to all our teaching methods. Learn the proper throwing mechanics so you don’t develop bad habits early. Our QB’s will learn the basic fundamentals for footwork, drops, accuracy, game management, route tree depths and distances, and ball security. Introduced to our defensive course on coverages, fronts, and schemes.
In today’s modern age of offense, there is no other position in all of sports as important as the quarterback. With many offenses featuring a dual-threat QB – one that passes and runs equally well – Power 5’s Dual-Threat training focuses on developing the skills needed to operate any of today’s offenses. In addition to traditional quarterback training, the Dual-Threat program emphasizes the QB running game, the RPO game, and how to master becoming a threat in both the run game and the passing game.
No two quarterbacks are the same. Why should their training be the same? Power 5’s Pro Style QB training program is geared toward the modern pocket passer. Traditional quarterback training in mechanics and footwork is part of the program, but Power 5 Pro Style QB training takes the quarterback to another level. A full course on defense is introduced, pro-style passing concepts, and much more is introduced to develop an elite pro-style quarterback.
Throwing mechanics, footwork, improve accuracy and arm strength, quicken your release time, increase throwing power, drops, play action, rollouts, ball security, pre-snap reads, progressions, route tree specifics, and more.
A college coach can watch a kid throw a 1/2 dozen balls and can tell right away if you have a future as a college quarterback. The evaluation could be over before it even begins. You must be flawless with your mechanics and do everything you can to perfect them. It not only helps you pass an evaluation but it will lead to you becoming a more accurate passer. We perform a baseline video analysis and evaluation when you start training. We will then provide a report that suggestions tweaks and adjustments based on our 15-point mechanical breakdown. We do a monthly video review to evaluate progress and make sure you are progressing to where you need to be.
We help with leadership development and building confident quarterbacks inside the huddle and off the field.
Pre-snap reads (Checklist), game management, defensive coverages, schemes/concepts, fronts, matchup advantages, and scouting your opponents. Game situations, down and distance strategies, progressions, cadences, learn to make adjustments, tests/quizzes, and video analysis. Learn to draw up plays on the white board and explain in detail the strengths of the offensive play and the defensive coverage it will face.
The route tree is broken down one by one to study alignments, depths, timing between quarterback and receiver, learn how receivers are being covered, what works and what doesn’t against certain coverages, tips, pointers, advantages/disadvantages of each. We will break down the Quick Game, Intermediate Routes, Vertical Routes, Dual Threat options, and more.
Learn the ins and outs of a 2-minute drill. All quarterbacks are measured how you perform when the game is on the line in the 4th quarter. We teach strategy, time management, how to communicate, understand down and distance, and we study through video analysis. You will also learn about play selection, routes that win, and more.
In today’s game, quarterbacks need to be explosive athletes that can move in and out of the pocket, throw on the run, extend plays, and be able to be a threat with their legs to move the chains. We make this a huge priority in a quarterback’s overall development. We have a proven 25 year track record training athletes to be faster and more athletic. This gives our QB’s a huge advantage in getting recruited and setting them apart from everyone else.
College summer 1-day camps and offseason exposure camps are an important part of the recruiting process. These camps are where you are evaluated and they eventually lead to scholarship offers and how you are ranked locally and nationally by the national media outlets. We help you prepare for them, understand what to expect, and be confident in performing your best for these events.
